The Prom - Friday 16th May 2008 9pm - The Gladstone Hotel

Get ready... cause it's your chance to go to The Prom.
Fairly Lucid is throwing a good ole trashy 80's inspired Prom at the Gladstone Hotel on Friday 16th May at 9pm as a fundraiser. The funds from this dance party extravaganza will help to develop new work by Australian playwright Ben Noble whilst paying equity actors and an experienced director in shaping a new play to be performed later in the year.
So whip out the puffiest dress you can find. Dust off the dusty blue suit with the frills, grab a date and a corsage and get your dance on for the kookiest event to kick start the long weekend.
Tix are $15 in advance, by rsvp'ing to fairlylucid@gmail.com or $20 at the door.
The event will feature DJ’s, 80’s Dance performance followed by a Dance Off Competition, the crowing of King and Queen, Prizes, Nibblies, Special Guests and will have you dancing all the way back into your memories. They'll even be a photographer to get all those fabulous couple shots underneath our balloon archway to take home with you.
Just in case you are going away or are unable to make it, let us know and maybe you would like to still make a contribution in lieu of buying a ticket. All money goes towards creating and developing the Canadian premiere of Ben Noble's, "interrogation".
Fairly Lucid was based originally in Melbourne, Australia. "They are part of a new generation of Melbourne theatre artists which looks restlessly beyond parochial influences, and demonstrate that contemporary British writing is beginning to make itself felt in new writing" TheatrenotesTheir works are "beautifully eclectic" and "diversely textured" (Inpress 04).

Let's get this party started!
